Amanda Seyfried openly credits a raw food diet for her new found slimmer figure. The diet consists of eating only unprocessed and uncooked foods. When food is cooked, you destroy the digestive enzymes and the positive nutritional. The diet includes lots of fruits, veggies and nuts, but it also can include sushi or homemade cheeses and yogurts. If you can hand-make it from raw parts, you can eat it.
Seyfried admitted that the diet is working to keep her slim, but whether she enjoys the diet is another story. Perhaps she should try the green drink diet like Robin Quivers. She lost 70 pounds. And if she tried a great tasting powdered drink like Everyday Fruits and Greens, it would be nearly as hard. At least she could do it in conjunction with the raw foods thing.
“It’s intense. And sort of awful,” Seyfriend said. “Yesterday for lunch? Spinach. Just spinach, spinach and some seeds.”
Seyfried shouldn’t have to suffer for her art. A couple daily green drink smoothies could definitely serve the same purpose, and be a lot more satisfying.
Self-proclaimed celebrity diet doctor Dr. Marc Lawrence claims the raw foods diet is the best way to lose weight.
“Raw food is a great diet,” Lawrence said. “If you are looking to lose weight, it is good to eat foods that are high in water content like vegetables. The raw food diet purports eating foods that are high in water, low in calories and high in nutrition. The reason we are fat is because we are eating processed foods, so a diet that says only eat unprocessed, natural foods is great.”
